In the cabinet
Precious coral is the calcium skeleton of marine polyps, polished to a waxy cabochon. The finest Italian and Pacific reds hold a deep oxblood that does not chalk in sunlight. We do not sell dyed bamboo coral as Moonga.
In the tradition
Moonga is Mangala’s gem. It is traditionally chosen for courage, blood, and decisive action, and worn on Tuesday in gold or copper.
