Navratna

Nine stones. Nine grahas. Benefits as the old books named them.

A Navratna is a small solar system in gold: Sun at the centre, the other eight around it. Tap a stone in the tray. What follows is classical Indian gem lore — not a diagnosis, not a guarantee.

The tray · Sun at centre

Choose a stone

This is a common North Indian setting. Regional houses shift the outer eight. The centre does not move: ruby for Surya.

Emerald · Pearl · Pukhraj / Diamond · Ruby · Coral / Neelam · Gomed · Lehsunia

Ruby

Manikya · Surya

Ruby

Surya — honour, vitality, the father

Gold (yellow) · Ring finger · Sunday

Traditional benefits

  • A clear sense of purpose and the courage to be seen
  • Name, rank, and the warmth of a well-run household
  • Stamina for long work — the stone of the king in the tray

Classical texts give ruby to the Sun. It is worn for dignity, not for volume. A good Manikya is judged in daylight: if the red dies under a kitchen lamp, it will not carry the graha it is named for. In a full Navratna it sits at the centre, because the other eight turn around Surya.

From the counter. Ruby is a strong stone. It is not a tonic, and it is not for every chart. If a reader has asked you to wait, we wait.

All nine, in one glance

A complete Navratna is nine stones in one setting. Most people begin with a single graha. Both are traditional.

The full set

Nine stones, one gold. Worn as a ring, pendant, or kundan plaque. It is a complete statement of the grahas — usually after a reading, not the week of a wedding.

A single stone

Most of our cabinet work is one graha, well chosen. A Pukhraj or a Moonga, named honestly, will do more than nine doubtful chips glued in a hurry.

What we will not say

A gem is not a medicine, a court order, or a fixed deposit. We speak the old associations because that is the language of this craft. We will not promise a result.

A first reading

Find a stone by rashi or weekday

This is the classical pairing used in Indian jewellery cabinets — not a substitute for a full horoscope. We are happy to sit with you and a report before a stone is set.
