Rose Quartz Is Pink Quartz, Not a Medicine

The pink is a variety of quartz. Hardness is about 7. Love and healing lines on a card are a tradition, not a treatment.

Rose Quartz Is Pink Quartz, Not a Medicine

Rose quartz is the pale pink member of the quartz family. Quartz is silicon dioxide. A bead of it is the same mineral family as clear quartz and amethyst, with a different colour.

Why it is pink

The colour is in the stone, not a dye on a white bead, when the piece is genuine rose quartz. Tiny inclusions are involved in that pink. You do not need a laboratory sentence to enjoy it, and you should not accept a story that the pink is a measured dose of anything. Hardness is about 7. It takes a polish. It will still scratch if it lives in a box with a diamond or a sapphire.

What the cards add

Guides call it the stone of unconditional love, heart healing and harmony. Wear it if you like the colour and the meaning. Do not wear it instead of care from a person, and do not expect a relationship to change because a bead is pink. A bill that says rose quartz is the useful document. A poem on the card is not.

Clean it with a soft cloth. Skip the long soak if the bead is dyed, cracked, or set with glue. If the pink is only on the surface, water will tell you. That is a reason to ask before you buy, not after.
